Austriamicrosystems has an inductive flash LED driver drives up to 1000mA and can be used for single or double LED designs.

The high-side current source works with up to 2x500mA with two LEDs in serial configuration and up to 720mA with one LED.

When driving two LEDs in series, LEDs draw identical currents and provide output light matching and thermal dissipation.

The AS3645 auto detects whether to employ single or dual LED mode.

There are also features to protect against circuit damage and improve test time, including programmable current limiting, overvoltage and undervoltage.

The device is available in a WL-CSP package measuring 2x1.6mm.
