Scottish inward investment boss set to move to Cadence Richard Ball
The boss of Locate in Scotland is set to join Cadence, the US IC design and tools company.
Martin Togneri played a key role in bringing the firm to Scotland when it moved to the Project Alba Technology Park at Livingston in West Lothian's Silicon Glen.
He has been offered and accepted the job of market development executive for Cadence which brought 2,000 jobs in what has been described as the most significant inward investment so far in Scotland's computer industry.
However, as a senior civil servant Togneri needs the approval of a Whitehall committee before he can take up the highly-paid post, reputed to be worth more than his existing ?85,000 annual salary.
