A Taiwanese firm is to make carbon nanotube-based field emission displays. "It will be focusing on the research, development and manufacturing of carbon nanotube field emission displays to step into the field of flat panel display panel and modules. It will, at the same time, develop carbon nanotube and other nano-composite applications," said the company, Taipei-based TECO Nanotech, in a statement.
The firm is a successor to Teco Information, founded in 1997 by TECO Electric & Machinery, UMC Group, KGI Group and NEC of Japan to make CRTs.
