IDT completes move to RoHS-compliance

Wednesday 05 October 2005 10:00

IDT has announced volume production of 9Mbit and 18Mbit network search engine (NSE) components that are compliant with the RoHS Directive.

"Last December, we announced 99 per cent of our packages were RoHS compliant. Today, we are pleased to proclaim that our entire product portfolio is RoHS compliant," said Anne Katz, v-p of worldwide assembly and test with IDT.

"IDT believes it is globally essential for the semiconductor industry to provide environmentally safe components for electronics systems."

The NSEs now going to RoHS-compliant packaging are aimed at OC-192 systems.
