Sharp sees lighting technology as one of the big items at the electronica 2008 trade show. The company will present the following technologies:
- Energy saving LED modules for lighting applications delivering up to 540 lumens at a power consumption of 8 watt maximum
- A line-up of industrial grade TFT LCDs with LED backlight in screen sizes up to 19 inch;
- Brightest e-signage LCD panel with 82 inch screen diagonal being currently commercialized with the glaring luminosity of 1,500 cd/sqm
- LC display for professional signage application with 108 inch / 2.74 metre screen size
- Ultra High Contrast automotive displays with a static contrast ratio of up to 2,500:1.
The company will also show ideas how innovative technologies and photovoltaic systems can be combined intelligently to develop energy saving, sustainable solutions for various application areas.
