TRaC says it plans to invest £1m in a new test facility in the UK.

It is suggested that the facility in Up Holland, Lancashire when built will create the largest test facility in the North West of England and will generate jobs for the region.

The test and certification company said the new facility will be much larger than the company’s existing Up Holland site that it will replace. The investment is supported by the North West Regional Development Agency.

Work on installing the EMC anechoic test chambers at is well underway with the first chamber nearing completion.

These chambers will be used to perform radiated emissions and radiated immunity testing of electrical/electronic equipment to various International specifications including FCC CFR47 and various EN and CISPR documents.

The chambers are also designed for EMC testing in accordance with military and avionics specifications including MIL STD 461, and RTCA DO-160
