Antenna developer Antenova has introduced a short range antenna intended for wireless headset, mobile handset and portable device applications.
The firm calls the latest addition to its range the Fusca 2.4GHz and it is the smallest antenna in its gigaNOVA range. It is aimed at Bluetooth, WiFi, Wibree and ZigBee.
Mike Edwards, v-p of sales and marketing at Antenova, said: “With wireless devices continuing to add more and more features into smaller and smaller devices, PCB space has really become prime real estate – so to speak. The Fusca is an ultra small 2.4GHz antenna that is a mere 4x3x1.1mm3 in size so takes up very minimal space.”
The antenna is intended for SMD mounting with minimal groundplane and is available in tape on reel.
