Rambus had Q2 revenue up 70% from Q2 2010 at $66.2m of which royalty revenues contributed $1m – a 60% increase y-o-y.
Q2 operating expenses were up 51% y-o-y at $68.7m compared to $45.5m in Q2 2010 which included $10.3m from settling a case with Samsung.
Q2 loss was $2.5m compared to a $6.7m loss in Q2 2010.
Reported net loss was $10.6m compared with $12.5m in Q2 2011.
Cash was $359.4m, compared with $508.6m in Q2 2010 due to the purchase of Cryptography Research.
For Q3, Rambus expects revenues to range between $91m $96m.
Pro forma operating expenses are expected in the range of $61m to $65m, accounting for litigation expenses of $15m to $18m.
Pro forma net income is projected between $11m and $16m.
