Telecoms chip firm Broadcom is to run a recruitment drive later this month at its UK R&D centre in Cambridge.

During the evening of November 24, 2005, the firm will carry out demos and presentation of its latest devices and offer informal discussion with managers and engineers.

Broadcom set up the R&D centre, which already has 85 engineers, to develop wireless and broadband products.

“We are recruiting heavily and expanding both groups but particularly the mobile group,” Robert Swann, marketing director of Broadcom’s mobile multimedia business, told Electronics Weekly recently.

The firm said it is looking for hardware, software and applications engineers for Asic and systems work. It is also recruiting buyers.

Broadcom has increased its headcount across 10 European sites by around 100 staff in the last year.

For those unable to attend, all jobs are listed at www.broadcom.com/careers
The firm's human resources email address is europeanjobs@broadcom.com
