Seoul Semiconductor has released a slim 1.4W power LED for lighting applications. Dubbed Z1, the complete package is 1.2mm high.

There are two parts: NZ10150, and warm white 80 lm (typical) device; and the 105 lm WZ10150 ‘pure’ white LED.

"Maximum lumens of NZ10150 and WZ10150 are 95 and 120 respectively," said a company spokesman. "Because the body of Z1 is made of ceramic with high thermal conductivity and equipped with spacious radiation plate, customers can manage heat easily."

Applications are foreseen in signage, replacing light bulbs in refrigerators, security lighting and decorative recessed lighting.
