The University of Surrey, through its Continuing Education office located in the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences, runs short courses in Electronics and Communications throughout the year. New this year, the university has announced, is its course on Military Thermal Imaging Systems.

This course will be run in association with Waterfall Solutions Ltd and the University says it will  suitable "for those working in the military, mobiles, satellite, signal processing, radar, rf, microwaves, nanotechnology, antennas, spacecraft and television industries". It runs 12-14 September 2011.

Pricing:
£1600 Standard Rate
£1450 for registration received with payment before 12 August 2011

Discounts are available for IET, IEEE members and other professional groups and the courses received Technical Sponsorship from the IET.

Short courses, say the university, can also offer a flexible and cost-effective route to an  MSc in Electronic Engineering. This offers a flexible way of obtaining an MSc over a period of 2-4 years and can fit around full-time employment.
