Atollic is making its TrueSTUDIO for ARM C/C++ development tool available for the recently introduced 32-bit XMC4000 family of Cortex-M4 microcontrollers from Infineon Technologies.

The XMC4000 microcontrollers are intended for industrial applications, such as electric drives, solar inverters and the automation of manufacturing and buildings.

Peripheral interface support includes SPI, I2C, UART and CAN configurable serial modules together with 12-bit ADCs and DACs.

Atollic’s TrueSTUDIO development and debugging tool has an optimising C/C++ compiler with ARM build and debug tools, system analysis and real-time tracing using Serial Wire Viewer (SWV) technology, and graphical-UML diagram editors for model-based design and architecture.

There is also an ECLIPSE-based IDE with x86 C/C++ build and debug tools for development of PC command-line applications.

There is also parallel compilation and multiprocessor debugging.

Optional add-ons include TrueINSPECTOR, a static source code analyser (MISRA-C compliance control and code metrics).
