Didier Lamouche, former CEO of Bull, is to take over from Alain Dutheil as COO of STMicroelectronics at the end of January.
Lamouche has a PhD in semiconductor technology and worked in Philips’ R&D department, at IBM Microelectronics and at Motorola. He was CEO of the IBM-Infineon jv Altis Semiconductor.
Dutheil, who was 65 this year, worked for TI and Thomson Semiconducteurs which merged with SGS-Ates in 1987 to form STMicroelectronics. He has been COO of ST for five years, and was the first CEO of ST-Ericsson.
