Infineon is the largest supplier of power semiconductors (discretes and modules), according to marketwatcher IMS Research.
The study of the power semiconductors market in 2007 placed STMicroelectronics and Fairchild Semiconductor second and third respectively.
IMS Research’s 2008 Power Semiconductor Discretes & Modules study found that Infineon has a 9.7% share of the $13.6bn market.
“Infineon grew its power discretes and modules business by over 20% in 2007, outpacing the market, which grew at just under 10% and retained its position as the largest supplier to the market,” said report co-author Josh Flood.
