Altium has appointed a value-added reseller (VAR) in Austria.
The appointment of HANSA PLM-Solutions comes as Altium identifies significant market opportunities in this region.
Austria’s electronics industry has some 300 companies employing about 60,000 staff.
In 2008 Austria’s electronics industry accounted for revenues of €11bn, according to figures released by the Austrian Association of Electrical and Electronics Industry (Fachverband der Elektro- und Elektronikindustrie).
“Our partnership with HANSA PLM-Solutions brings us closer to our customers in Austria to support them in innovating their electronics design processes,” said Martin Harris, Vice President EMEA at Altium.
HANSA PLM-Solutions specialises in product lifecycle and product data management systems and its partnership with Altium will see it enter the market of electronic systems.
The VAR has begun to recruit additional application and sales engineers.
