Intersil has added to its family of precision amplifiers with 40V quad amplifiers which are suitable for 12-bit to 24-bit process control, instrumentation and data acquisition applications.
Designed on Intersil's PR40 advanced bipolar process, the ISL28407, ISL28417, and ISL28408 are designed for low noise and high gain in industrial control applications.
The ISL28407 1MHz amplifier operates from 4.5V to 40V with a bias current drift of only 0.3pA/°C over temperature (-40°C to +85°C). Its offset is 90µV maximum and offset drift of 0.8uV/°C maximum.
Power consumption is 290µA maximum per channel.
A second amplifier, the ISL28417 is designed for sensor front ends, DAC buffering, precision voltage regulation or low noise instrumentation applications that need a diverse range of signals.
Power consumption is only 530µA maximum per channel, low frequency noise is 250nV peak-peak (0.1Hz to1 to 10Hz) and 8nV/rtHz at 1kHz.
Offset voltage is just 70µV maximum, with offset drift of only 0.75µV/°C maximum.
Also available is the ISL28408, which features half the power consumption of the ISL28417 with single supply operation and rail-to-rail output.
Its wide input voltage range supports input signals down to 0.5V below the negative supply rail.
The ISL28408 has low offset of 230µV maximum, low noise (15.8nV/rtHz at 1kHz) and power consumption of 250µA maximum per channel.
The ISL28407, ISL28408, and ISL28417 are available in 14-lead SOIC packages.
