THE WINNERS HAVE BEEN ANNOUNCED
Read the full details
Electronics Weekly has launched a search for the best electronics blogs from around the web, with its first ever Blog Awards. We have now drawn up shortlists for each category. For details, see each category section below.
To vote for a shortlisted blog in any of the categories below, email ewblogawards@electronicsweekly.com with its URL.
The competition will showcase the best the electronics industry has to offer (excluding our own blogs!). It will enable us to provide electronics professionals with a comprehensive list of the most popular and useful writers on the web.
To find the best blogs, Electronics Weekly needs to hear from as many of you as possible on who you think are the most informative and interesting bloggers.
Having received initial nominations, we have now selected a shortlist of ten blogs in each of three categories, and you have the chance to vote for your favourites to help determine, along with a panel of experts, which blogs are the best.
As before, with the nomination stage, anyone who votes for a shortlisted blog will be entered into a prize draw to win a £50 Amazon voucher.
There are three categories: Mobile Comms, Electronic Hardware and Electronic Gadgets.
Mobile Comms
In the Mobile Comms category, we are looking at blogs covering the communications technologies underpinning the latest mobile phones and mobile computers.

Electronic Hardware
Blogs that cover details of electrics hardware - whether complexity of components, build processes or home-brew circuits.

Electronic Gadgets
The glamorous part of the industry. The shiny pieces of kit that people desire to own - whether it be the latest iPhone, the smallest laptop or the biggest LCD screen - are the subject of this category.

The closing date for voting will be end-of-play Friday 21 November.
To vote for a blog in any of the categories, email ewblogawards@electronicsweekly.com with its URL. Remember, we are excluding our own blogs from the Awards, so keep reading them but there is no need to nominate them.
