Analog Design Engineer - AC Amplifier, Bath
The candidate will have a strong track record in the development of PCB level broadband discrete analogue or RF circuits and have a working knowledge of control theory and compensation network design.
The ideal candidate will have several of the following skills:
Experience of high speed analogue design using IC and discrete transistors
Good understanding of control theory / stability analysis and compensation networks
Familiarity with network analyser / s parameter measurement techniques
Circuit simulation using frequency and time domain simulation packages e.g. Microwave Office/SPICE / Spectre
High speed PCB modeling experience, including parasitic extraction and transmission line effects
Thorough understanding of BJT and FET device characteristics and circuit topologies
Understanding of device speed limitations, failure modes and breakdown mechanisms
Knowledge of modern thermal packaging technology and thermal relief techniques
Experience of design for high reliability and design for manufacture
