Principal level embedded software developer sought for my clients communication product development group based in an amazing location in the South West. Please apply if you have the following : strong embedded C, Device driver development, Firmware, Real-Time Operating Systems, RTOS, Ethernet, Internet protocols, LAN, WAN, SSL, HTTPS, SNMPv3, awk, Python, Perl, VHDL, FPGA design

This principal embedded software engineering vacancy is with my clients wireless solutions group. They are a world leader in communications products with an instantly recognizable brand

The successful candidate will lead the architecture, design and development of high-speed wireless IP products. Will be responsible for major contributions in all phases of software and firmware development lifecycle, and will drive the development of features and lead development teams as required.

The following essential skills will be sought in candidates:

o Very strong embedded software development in C (awk, Python, Perl is a plus)


o Developing drivers, integrating hardware, firmware and software using various RTOS is required.

o Strong experience with Ethernet & internet protocols & standards is required,

o Full software development lifecycle experience

It would also be highly desirable to have some of the following:

o Developing FPGAs using VHDL

o Network security protocols, SSL, HTTPS, SNMPv3

o LAN/WAN telecommunications knowledge

o A background of RF Design
