Exciting urgent requirements for well qualified Embedded Software Engineers with good video compression knowledge to join a prosperous and rewarding high-tech development company in Hertfordshire.

Applicants will have excellent C and C++ embedded software development skills together with good knowledge of video compression techniques such as JPEG or MPEG and an appreciation of radar signal processing.

Working as part of a small software team you will be responsible for all aspects of the software development process from specification through to formal release and maintenance. You will be involved with the development of an exciting range of products including radar video and graphics products as well as software based video and radar distribution products.

KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE SOUGHT:
Degree qualification.
Expert embedded software development in C and C++.
Video Compression techniques including JPEG and MPEG.
Radar Signal Processing.
Development of low-level software.
Development on a PowerPC target.
VxWorks.
OpenGL.
PCI, Compact PCI or VME.
Graphics Processor architectures.
Linux, Windows.

There are several opportunites from Junior level up to Senior level with salaries ranging from £30K up to C£47K according to experience.

Candidates will have excellent communications skills, both verbal and written; the ability to work well within a team; have proven analytical and decision making skills as well as good customer focus.
