Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer is required by this Cambridge based company. They are a fabless semiconductor company who design and sell high volume, low cost, mixed signal controller integrated circuits used in the consumer products market for power conversion. Typical applications include SMPS (switch mode power supplies) and domestic/commercial lighting ballasts.

Currently they require an experienced Mixed Signal IC Design Engineer (who has a digital bias) to specify, design, and implement front-end digital circuits using VHDL (Verilog) and logic Synthesis preferably in a Cadence based EDA tools environment. There will also be some back-end activities such as place & route/timing analysis.

Duties required include:

* Front-end mixed signal circuit design (digital block requirements capture, specification, logic synthesis, timing analysis)
* Back-end design - on target CMOS process (floorplanning, place & route, post-layout simulation)
* Design documentation
* Design of digital circuits for testability (DVT, PFT)
* Digital design - FPGA target platform
