Multimedia Software Engineer – Surrey, UK – Semiconductors

My client is at the forefront of media processor and System-on-Chip technology. They are currently looking to recruit a Multimedia Software Engineer to join their R&D Team based in Surrey, UK. You will be responsible for implementing embedded multimedia applications under Linux, on an ARM core. This could include developing microcode for my client’s proprietary media processor array.

The successful candidate will possess the following:
• Excellent current 'C' and ‘C++’ programming
• Strong problem solving skills
• Working knowledge developing on embedded systems
• Working knowledge of developing in assembler for 32bit processors
• A background in developing multimedia algorithms and applications
• Knowledge of implementing image processing algorithms in, for instance, a device driver or imaging library
• Knowledge of implementing parallel processing algorithms
• Knowledge of developing under Linux.
