Ideal profile: Senior compiler engineer with many years optimization and development experience on Unix and Windows
World-leader in electronics IP development is seeking to hire an experienced compiler engineer.
Key activities will include compiler optimisations, C/C++ language extensions, support for internal hardware and software, and focussing on compiler robustness, correctness and efficiency.
Required attributes:
- Expert C
- Expert C++, including templates and exceptions
- Fluency in assembler for one or more architectures
- Strong practical knowledge of compiler code generation and optimization
- Familiarity with lattice theory and abstract interpretation
- Technical leadership
Desirable attributes:
- Experience with OO development
- Experience with profile guided and whole program optimization
- Linux, Symbian or Win CE development experience
- Safety critical experience
- Unix and Windows development experience including multi-threading
