My client in Hampshire are seeking to recruit a Software Design Engineer. This role is commutable from Eastleigh, Winchester, Southampton, Salisbury, Ringwood, Bournemouth, Poole.
Position Summary
Working within the Research and Development team, designing, developing and supporting embedded software solutions using both high level and assembler based programming languages. Designing, developing and supporting Graphical User Interfaces.
Specific Responsibilities
System level design of software for PC or embedded software.
Design and development of software in ANSI C or assembler language for various target processors.
Design and development of Graphical User Interfaces on PC platforms.
System level test and debugging.
Experience Requirements
Demonstrable experience real-time embedded software design in ANSI C and assembly language.
Demonstrable design experience of Windows programming.
System level design using OOD or UML.
Proficiency in mathematics and or physics
Additional advantageous experience:
Knowledge of sensors or sensing technology.
Knowledge of Microchip PICMicro, Hitachi, or ARM range of processors.
Communications such as CAN, RS485, RS232, etc.
Basic electronics and ability to read circuit diagrams.
Use of laboratory equipment (Oscilloscopes, DVMs, signal generators etc)
