Software Engineers - North Wales - C / C++ / JAVA / Protocols

An exciting opportunity exists for a well qualified Software Engineer with a thriving High-Tech Company based in a beautiful North Wales location. Applicants should have strong C, C++ and Java programming skills as well as a good understanding of Communication and Network Protocols and web services development.

The successful candidate with take on a role involving the research, design and development of software components and communication systems used by the company with projects using a wide range of processing platforms from single chip microcontrollers to PC based development systems on which a range of communication and transaction services will be hosted.

Expert knowledge of embedded programming is required as is a solid understanding of Embedded Linux development and hardware debugging. Familiarity with SOAP, PHP and systems modelling software would be beneficial.

KEY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE SOUGHT:
Good Degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or similar subject.
Proficiency in C, C++, Java and XML programming languages / environments.
Communication and Network protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, CANbus etc...
Embedded Linux development.
Real-Time Embedded Programming with 8-bit micros in C and Assembler.
Knowledge of web services development and related protocols such as SOAP, SOA, HTTP, NIS, NFS etc..
System modelling software such as Matlab, Simulink and Mathcad.
Digital Signal Processing.
