Technical Sales Support Engineer – UK – Digital Television

My client is a leading provider of technology and services to the global broadcast, cable, satellite and IPTV markets. They are currently looking to recruit a Technical Sales Support Engineer to join their rapidly evolving team based in the UK. You will be directly responsible for the ‘Technical Sell’ to end customers and assisting the Sales Manager to bring in business. You will be supporting the front line sales teams by acting as the primary interface and working closely with customers to assist and influence the development of their technical requirements.

The successful candidate will possess the following:
• A degree of equivalent in electronic or communication engineering or a related discipline
• A thorough understanding of Video On Demand systems or Interactive television
• Excellent representational/influencing skills
• Experience in running Bid teams for large Opportunities with multiple suppliers.
• A thorough understanding of one or more of the following technologies – Digital Broadcasting, Conditional access systems, Broadcast automation systems, Data Broadcasting systems.
• Good communicator with good interpersonal and negotiating skills.
