Founded in October, 1994, the Lab produces some of the tastiest brews in the North-West and serves up some simple, yet excellent, pub fare. Outside on the back covered patio is a great place to relax and converse with friends or hang out with your canine. Our correspondent writes: "For unpretentious read frankly down at heel, but the IPA was very good. I am told by a local ex-pat that the Hawthorne Bitter is pretty close to an English Bitter (it was being served that night - they rotate their beers) and if you read the blurb, they serve their beer in the English way."
