Conrad vs Nijinsky

Why does a guy start spending his money like a drunken sailor on shore leave? Well he could actually be a drunken sailor on shore leave, but another likely reason is because of a woman.

The most extravagant spending of Conrad Black seems to have happened since he got married to his last wife.

When a guy spends a fortune on a girl it’s usually because he’s trying to impress her. Often to show he’s a better bet than other guys in her past.

And one of the guys in Black’s missus’ past was the publisher Lord Weidenfeld.

Weidenfeld attracted many attractive women and, asked once how he did it, is reported to have replied: ‘I am the Nijinsky of cunnilingus’.

That's a tough act to follow.
