The Ten Most Stupid Remarks Of The Year

Anyone who writes in asking who made these remarks will get added in at No.11. Here they are, the ten most stupid remarks of the year.

The Internet runs on Intel Architecture

We invented the DRAM

I want to assure our shareholders that we got into this (NAND) business to make money

You're dealing with something (Atom) that most of us wouldn't use.

People turn to computers to improve productivity during downturns.

The worst case scenario is that Intel has to write a cheque. (EC investigation).

We are creating a category of devices that doesn't exist at the moment.

Adding computing functions to cellphones: "Pushes them (ARM licensees like Nokia, NXP Semiconductors and Samsung) to more advanced chip technology, which typically they don't have access to. They are a generation or two behind".

Wouldn't it be great to be able to speak to your computer and have it understand and act on everything you say. That will take far more than 32 times the performance we have today.
