Fable: Jaw Or War?

Two empires once fought to gain supremacy over each other.

After many years of fighting, when the empires' treasuries were depleted by the costs of war, and projects which could have helped their economies had been shelved through lack of funding, and the loss of  trade between them led to a big drop in import revenues, the empires made peace.

Their war budgets were diverted into economic investments, their citizens engaged in productive endeavour,  their wealth grew and renewed investment produced much beneficial progress in wireless technology.

MORAL: Jaw-Jaw is better than War-War
