Transitron have added 19 devices to their series IV 54/74 compatible range of TTL silicon integrated circuits', starts a story in Electronics Weekly's edition of August 6th 1969.

The new additions bring Transitron's 54/74 compatible range to a total of 38 devices available in production quantities, several of  them not available, or in short supply, from other manufacturers.

Bob West, Transitron's European Marketing Manager, announcing the additions, said: "Transitron is the only major IC manufacturer to have concentrated exclusively on TTL. The universally accepted 54/74 series is by far the most popular form of TTL, and we aim to take an even bigger share of this market."

"We intend to make all the 54/74 types currently available from other sources and shortly we will be adding circuit types of our own to make series IV the most complete 54/74 range anywhere."

Mr West explained to Electronics Weekly that the Maidenhead plant now has a complete production facility for the whole of the series IV range, including diffusion.
