Fable: The Company With Its Head In The Sand

There was once a pioneering company which had a huge success with a class of computer dubbed a minicomputer.

The company became international, large, highly profitable and with very well respected products particularly among the scientific and engineering community.

In 1977 the founder, chairman, CEO and big boss opined: "There is no reason for any individual to have a computer in his home."

In 1998 the company was dead and gone, split up and bought piece-meal by other companies.

MORAL:  The big boss can be wrong.
