Alexander Graham Bell received numerous awards and honours in his lifetime. Of the many, these seem to be about the ten best:

Membership of the Légion d'honneur.

The Volta Prize of 50,000 Francs;

The UK Society of Arts' Albert medal;

The IEEE established in 1976 the Alexander Graham Bell Medal

The Sweet recorded a tribute entitled "Alexander Graham Bell" which sold 1 million copies.

The Royal Bank of Scotland issued a bank note to mark the 150th Anniversary of his birth on March 3rd 1997.

Google had a special Alexander Graham Bell front page for his birthday in 2008.

Bell featured in the TV programmes: the 100 Greatest Britons (2002), the top-ten Greatest Canadians (2004), and the 100 Greatest Americans (2005).

Parks Canada maintains the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site.

A large number of Bell's writings, notebooks, papers and other documents rest at the United States Library of Congress Manuscript Division.
