A Microsoft developer has stated on his Linked-In entry that he has been working on Windows 8 and it has a 128-bit kernel.
Robert Morgan, who has worked at Microsoft Research for seven years, posted on his LinkedIn profile that he has been "working in high security department for research and development involving strategic planning for medium and long term projects".
The high security projects he lists in his profile include 128-bit architectures for future versions of Windows, involving Intel, AMD, HP and IBM.
128-bit technology is used in very high end graphics applications. Some functions of Sony's Cell microprocessor use 128-bit (also called 'quadword') technology.
128-bit is said to improve the parallel processing required to render computer game graphics in real time.
Windows 8 is not expected to be out until 2012.

AMD name it SSE5 .
M$ was should add Update to current widows version to make it support 128 bit instructions

Well Salem, why publish a book of 10 short stories when you could pad them out and make 10 novels = income x 10.
