Is This The First Significant ARM-Based Netbook?

That elusive beast, the ARM-based Netbook - or Smartbook as some like to call it - could have been spotted at CES.

 

 

Asking ARM's CEO, Warren East, about the situation, he told me: "Lenovo had two at CES. There are a few out there. It's relatively early days."

 

A little later ARM's PR sent me this link.

 

The beast is scheduled for unveiling, says Lenovo, in 'the Spring'.

$499 and you have to buy a separate 3G contract.
These are Apple prices not Lenovo. They will need to discount heavily to get any sales for this proprietary Linux box .
