Searching Google on Google ? You guys in UK are incredible !
Thanks Cheese, it was Google searching itself and putting out the results as a press release.
Yeah, but why has nobody mentioned the fact that when you set Google as your home page there is a lag when you fire up the browser - you think you're typing an URL directly into the browser but google has nicked the cursor and put your input into the search instead.
Either way you get to where you're going and waiting for google to return control back to the address bar generally doesn't save any time. Does rather skew the search stats though - if they want accurate stats Google should really not try and grab focus.
David
I can't help thinking that they've missed one out. A four letter word starting p and ending n
or am I mistaken..?
Cheers
'Sceppers'
Well Sceptic I get the impression these West Coast American companies are rather straightlaced - look at Apple in its iPone Apps - very attuned to cutting out anything smutty. So i expect you're right - about 20 trillion searches on porn were done, but Google thought it improper to mention it - a rather nice, quaint, Victorian sense of decorum - but none the worse for that.
Yes quaint indeed and somewhat ironic when you consider the size of the Californian porn film industry (see what you did - gave me the confidence to spell it out.)
We must have a beer sometime.
'Sceppers'
You're on, Sceppers, preferably a Timothy Taylor Landlord or, failing that, a Young's.
