what were the worst 10 years ?

So the 2 worst years immediately followed the 2 best years. 1984 (+50%) to 1985 (-16%) and 2000 (+27%) and 2001 (-21%). Anyone like to hazard a guess as to whether this might mean 2011 will be the year of the double dip recession or as our CEO likes to call it the "dead cat bounce"? Will the pattern continue, with the 3rd best year being followed immediately by the 3rd worst year?

Only if the industry hasn't learnt the lesson that investing in a boom is disastrous, pip
