'"And what plans do you have in place to choose a successor who can execute on those targets?" asked the miserable little prick.
'"What makes you think I won't be around so see the company achieve them?" I ask.'
'"Because your shares vest immediately on the IPO, and the usual 180-day lock-in been waived in your case," says the MLP, "it looks as if you're planning on a run for the exit post-IPO".'
'I splutter a bit. Wriggle a bit. But the bastards aren't taking any notice. I don't think they'll be participating in the offer.'
'Still it's only 18 days to the IPO', writes Ed, 'then all this will be over and I'll be swanning around in my squillions.'
