The global deal includes LeCroy’s oscilloscopes, arbitrary function generators and logic analysers.
“Not only will our partnership with Mouser help us to continue to grow internationally, we are equally pleased to have a global distribution partner that’s as committed to quality customer service and delivering innovation in support of new design as we are,” said Roberto Petrillo, LeCroy worldwide v-p of sales.
Distribution is now an important sales channel for all test equipment suppliers. For LeCroy this became clear with last year’s launch of a £600 scope in the WaveAce range.
For test firms, offering lower cost instruments through distribution is all about expanding their markets into new areas in a cost-effective manner.
“It is part of our plan to double market share within five years,” Art McFall, distribution sales manager at LeCroy told EW at last year’s launch of the £600 scope.
The company has filled out the range with a line of 4-channel scopes as well as its lowest priced scope a 40MHz 2-channel instrument which will sell for £600.
