It is today officially launching its design competition, which is open to all engineering students at UK universities. The winning three students will each secure £3,000 towards their tuition fees.“Our visits to some of the universities demonstrated that there is a great pool of engineering talent within the UK,” said Laurence Dellicott, EMEA director of field applications,
“We want to support and nurture that talent and see that it realises its full potential, and the P4I design competition is all about making that happen,” said Dellicott.
Registration has opened and entries must be complete by 31st March 2013.
To enter participants should download the Pedal4Innovation Development Board Catalogue, choose up to three boards to work with, write a short design proposal and fill out the registration form.
Entrants will be given six months to develop an innovative solution/idea using the three boards within their innovation pack.
A judging panel made up of Avnet Silica and its suppliers will announce the winning designs/scholarship holders next April.
