The region's electronics fraternity have the opportunity to get to grips with all the latest demands on meeting their environmental responsibilities by attending a 'Legislative Update' event on Friday 10th July at Electronics Yorkshire's headquarters in
The event, supported by Electronics KTN, will review the status of environmental legislation and provide delegates with a comprehensive update on issues including REACH, WEEE, RoHS and the Batteries Directive covering changes in chemicals, waste electronics, hazardous materials and disposal methods, respectively.
Delegates will also receive information on complying with the Energy-using Products Directive, as well as essential information on reducing carbon footprinting in light of the impending legislation on Carbon Reduction Commitment. In addition, the event will focus on ways of improving design-efficiency and reducing the environmental impact of products in the longer term.
The event will be presented by three leading experts from the electronics and environmental sectors - Mark Shayler and Leigh Holloway from eco3 and Gary Nevison from Premier Farnell.
