ERA Technology has announced the programme for its influential two-day environmental product legislation conference, 'Electrical and Electronic Equipment and the Environment 2008 - Meeting the Technical and Regulatory Challenges', which will be held on the 19-20 November 2008 at the Sheraton Skyline Hotel, Heathrow, London. The conference is the 10^th in a successful portfolio of environmental events.

This prestigious event will bring together expert speakers, from around the world to present details of the very latest developments in the key environmental legislation affecting electrical and electronic products: REACH, EuP (eco-design), RoHS, WEEE and Batteries regulations.

The region's electronics fraternity have the opportunity to get to grips with all the latest demands on meeting their environmental responsibilities by attending a 'Legislative Update' event on Friday 10th July at Electronics Yorkshire's headquarters in Leeds.

The event, supported by Electronics KTN, will review the status of environmental legislation and provide delegates with a comprehensive update on issues including REACH, WEEE, RoHS and the Batteries Directive covering changes in chemicals, waste electronics, hazardous materials and disposal methods, respectively.

I will be presenting a brief, easy-to-follow update on RoHS2, REACH and the Battery Regulations at Earls Court 2 on Wednesday 17th June at 11am.

Once again ERA / Cobham are holding one of their excellent conferences with the title Electrical and Electronic Equipment and the Environment, meeting the technical and regulatory challenges.

On 10 July in Leeds, EY and the EKTN have put on a free update covering environmental legislation.

Just a quick plug for one of the highlights of the conference season.

The Europartners Distribution Conference takes place in Paris on the 6 and 7 of October.

The theme is the "electronic components industry after the crisis".

Guest speakers include NXP, TTI, Farnell, Avnet, Omron, AVX, FBDi and many more.

I was lucky enough to present at this conference a few years ago and I found it to be an excellent event and a great opportunity for networking.
