Held once a year in San Francisco, the IEEE International Solid-State Circuits Conference (ISSCC) is the world's show case for the best in circuit design for integrated circuits. As well as this year's show, we present highlights from previous ISSCCs.

Still to come is Intel's unveiling of a new processor - an Itanium processor that is tailored for mobile devices - that will be the first to exceed two billion transistors.
