Uncyclopedia - not reference material

uncylcopedia.jpgI admire Wikiedia as much as the next man, but check out this funny spoof I've only come across recently - Uncyclopedia. (Not sure who is behind it, but you can read the About Us section).

Lots of categories to choose from - Science, Politics, History, Computers, People, Quaint and Coherent - but check out these entries, for example:

Thomas Edison

Satellite

Hologram

DDR

Blu ray

Technobabble

They are all from the Technology section.

Not to forget the UnNews section, giving a distorted view of latest events, or the Random Page feature. Amusing. A bit juvenile, but amusing.

Uncyclopedia's great but it's become less 'newbie friendly' in recent times. I much prefer the Illogicopedia these days - it may not be as polished but it's certainly more welcoming, a bit like a small pub where everyone knows everybody else.

Cheerio.

Thanks for the comment. I'll take a look at this. How many 'false encyclopedias' are there online?!
