Will AMD separate manufacturing and design?

Written by Suzanne Deffree, Managing Editor, News of our sister title Electronic News, it considers the struggle of AMD to bring its long-awaited "asset-smart" plans to light.

The issue flared up again after a Texas-based newspaper wrongly reported recently that the company's newly appointed CEO Dirk Meyer had confirmed fabless plans.
