Electronics Weekly is 50!

EWgold 50 x200.jpgJust a quick post both to wish you a happy and healthy New Year, and to flag that 2010 marks a golden anniversary for Electronics Weekly...

This year sees our 50th year of publication, as we launched on September 7, 1960.

There will be a number of celebrations to mark the event, through the year, so stay tuned. But we begin with the Mannerisms weekly Memory Lane series looking back to our 1960 coverage, week by week.

And no, David Manners didn't work on the first issue!

Our first headline? 'Hughes aim at 13m diode output'  We also blow our own trumpet with the piece 'Britain's FIRST electronics newspaper'...

I think the Golden Anniversary deserves a special logo!
