Q5 Interview - Neville Reyner, Anglia

Elektra Awards 2010 now open for entries

mpu.gifTime to consider the prestigious Elektra awards, and how to get one of them in your company's trophy cabinet...

We now are inviting companies to enter the 2010 Elektra European Electronics Industry Awards.

Established as an annual high point of the electronics industry, the Elektra Awards give the industry the opportunity to recognise the achievements of individuals and companies from across Europe. The Awards ceremony is on December 9th in London.

The entry process is designed to be as speedy as possible. Just take a few minutes to enter via the Electronics Weekly Awards website.

Closing date for entries is 2nd July.

A case study on satellite navigation systems

Agilent app full.jpg A new case study is on the website, describing the European Geostationary Navigation Overlay System (EGNOS) as well as the development by Logica of one of the most critical elements of EGNOS, the Integrity Processing Facility (IPF).

More More iPhone apps for electronics

Agilent app detail.jpgDon't forget we are constantly updating our Photo Stories Index - Intel and Nokia's MeeGo system, and Samsung's first e-book reader are the two latest additions, and we have also added some new iPhone apps for engineers, too:

More iPhone apps for electronics now also includes apps from Agilent and Farnell.

The Agilent Microwave (µWave) calculator, pictured right, helps calculate errors in microwave measurements, and consists of a Directivity Error Calculator, a Mismatch Error Limit Calculator, and a Ratio-to-dB Calculator.

Features of the Farnell application include interactive linecards with regular upgrades, unit converter, industry updates, and one touch button to call Farnell Sales or Technical Support.
