Superbowl sees Diamond Vision LED video screens

Diamon Vision at Dallas Cowboys.jpgOne to file under the Digital Life category...

The American Football Superbowl, this Sunday, takes place in the Dallas Cowboy's stadium. It is a neat hook to flag the huge Mitsubishi Electric screen hanging above the field of play, which is now in the Guinness World Record books, as the world's largest high-definition video display.

To be precise, it consists of four Diamond Vision LED video screens. See Guinness World Record for Largest Hi-Def Video Display

Just don't call it a Jumbatron. Slashgear writes:
A few key facts about the screen include that the centre sideline displays are 160-feet wide, 72-feet high, and have a screen area of 11,393 square feet. The gigantic screen consumes 635 kilowatts of power and weighs 1.2 million pounds. The smaller end zone screens are 1,493 square feet each. The screen is certainly very cool, just don't call it a Jumbotron.
