Poll: Google's acquisition of Motorola Mobility good for Android?

Have your say in the poll running on our Android blog - Eyes on Android. The recent acquisition of Motorola Mobility by Google throws up a lot of questions, but what is your initial reaction?

Points in favour of the deal include side-stepping any possible patent disputes with Motorola.

Points against the deal include the possible negative impact on other handset makers, such as Samsung and HTC who now find Motorola a privileged competitor.

Could Apple be the ultimate beneficiary of this deal?

Googles purchase of Motorola is good for the smart phone customer. We will have more competition between Android and the iPhone. Giving us better products at lower prices.
