Impossible objects #5: Street Power

ganton street power switch.jpg
A good one from David Mery, captured on Ganton Street, London W1.

Any suggestions for what unfeasibly large object this switch is powering? And should it have been left plugged in?

See the full image (and the rest of his Flickr stream is well worth checking out).
